Sunday was the last day we fed the cowboys at National Western Stock Show for this year. It was great to see all the cowboys again. These cowboys are such wonderful young people, polite, and thankful for what they have. I wish more kids could experience spending time with these cowboys, and learn from them.

oh, yea, the rodeos were great, and I got some wonderful pictures, and John got to visit and shake the hands of several of his cowboy idols.

Have a great day, and I’ll get some pics posted soon!

Last night was the first of three nights that we are serving food to the cowboys prior to the rodeo at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. Last night was PBR, and we got to see a lot of the world champs, which is always a lot of fun. I also got some great pics and a couple of videos I’ll have to post. Friday and Sunday will be the PRCA cowboys.

Happy New Year from the Dumdi Ranch. We had a really quiet night at home.

Tomorrow is the timed events qualifer for the National Western Stock Show in Denver, CO – I am wishing hubby a Successful day tomorrow, and we get to see him during the rodeo at the stock show! Love you! Red got her new shoes this morning so she is ready to go! John is itching to get up and ready to go by 6 am.

Hard to believe that the stock show starts next week already. We will be there at least 3 days cooking lamb for the cowboys. That is such a great experience, and John loves rubbing elbows. Mom enjoys it also, because there are a lot of the NRF qualifers and winners in Denver to check out!

More later!

I am feeling so bad for my hubby and our horse Red – my hubby’s horse Batman passed away a couple of nights ago. Not sure what happened, but he hadn’t been feeling too well lately, but was getting better. We are guessing that he was probably older than we originally thought he was, or he had something going wrong inside. Not sure, but the loss is huge! You just wish there was something you could say or do for the people hurting, but all you can do is let them greeve and be there! I sure miss Batman! He was an awesome horse, and loved John and Mark.

I remember when John was about 2 yrs old, he would go out and pick small pieces of grass and feed them to Batman, and Batman would never bite him, just took the small piece of grass and wait for another. It was such a joy to watch! ah memories!!

First basketball game is this Saturday – dad won’t be able to watch because he is refereeing a high school wrestling tournament, but mom gets to watch. I am excited.

John has decided not to wrestle this season, but is playing basketball. This is the first time he has played basketball in a league. Will post some pics when games start. He is at his first practice tonight. Should be fun to watch!
