Christmas Dinner Table Centerpiece

We are all busy these days with work, children, keeping up with the house, and now Christmas is upon us. I know, where did the time go?

I have some beautiful Christmas dinner table centerpieces, and they are so simple to create, but oh, so lovely!

I LOVE the colors of this white pitcher with red & white foliage.

This is also lovely, and it brings back so many memories from my childhood. Skating – such fun!

if you are inspired and create one of these lovely centerpieces, please share pics. We love to share!!

Don’t fear if you want to create one of these centerpieces and don’t have a set of skates, or a beautiful white pitcher, we have several to choose from at the store!

Have a lovely day!

Holy Cow – where have I been?

It sure had been a busy year for me. I had stuff in four (4), yes 4 local antique malls. If that doesn’t keep you busy besides working in one 4 days a week I don’t know what does.

Anyway – long story short – I moved out of all of the malls and opened my own Antique Mall on February 1st, in Old Town Lafayette, CO.

What happened to The Speckled Goose when I opened Lafayette Antiques & Home Décor? Good question – The Speckled Goose is still where I sell my antiques & collectibles. The Speckled Goose is a dealer inside Lafayette Antiques. I just have all of my treasures inside one store!

You can find our treasures located inside:

Lafayette Antiques & Home Décor

304 E. Baseline Rd, Ste A

Lafayette, Co 80026

Store Hours: Mon – Sat 10 am – 5 pm, and Sunday Noon – 5 pm

We have VALENTINE’s Day Gifts

Are you on the fence about what to get your sweetie? We have many to choose from. Beautiful jewelry, candles, candle holders, great smelling soaps, and so much more.

We have several wonderful French Soap fragrances to choose from.

Have a great day,

Tax Time

I have finally figured out why today is called Tax Time – it because it is taxing getting all the info together to fill in the numbers into the computer. Whew – done – I REALLY need to find an easier way to keep all this info.

I have recently talked to a couple of dealer friends and they are in the same boat. There has to be an easier way to keep all of these numbers together while taking less time.  Paperwork, paperwork – and more paperwork. Maybe I just need another me to keep up with all of the paperwork.

Well I have started a couple of new speadsheets and may have figured out a way to at least take less time entering info into the computer. I am using google docs and have created a form to enter inventory, income and expenses. It seems a lot easier to enter the info into a form instead of the spreadsheet itself. The other advantage I see is that I can enter the info into the pc or on my tablet. So when I am out at an estate sale, I can open the tablet, enter where I am, and how much I spent, along with a description of what I purchased.

This way doesn’t tell me how much I spent for each item, but I at least have a total dollar amount I spent. I then will continue to write my inventory info into my book to keep track of how much I spent on each item, and my research info on the items. I will them be able to enter this info into my inventory form (spreadsheet). Do I need this much info? I don’t know, but I do know how much I spent on each item, and not just an overall total amount made or lost.

Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on how you keep track of all this stuff for “Tax Time”.

Have a great week,

What’s New @ The Speckled Goose

Things have been going well here in Colorado. I have been super busy getting my new space filled inside Homestead Antiques, Arvada, Co. I have a nice size space, and I am loving it! I love walking around checking out everyone’s treasures. Homestead Antiques also has a Great group of dealers – everyone that I have met are super nice.

John has started competing in the Jr.High spring rodeos. Hubby and John. have been gone the last three weekends, and they have a rodeo scheduled every weekend through May, except Mother’s Day weekend.

Spring has come to the ranch – all of our girls (sheep) have had their babies, and everyone is doing well. I have to get pictures, but the weather has been so weird that I haven’t gotten out there yet.

More soon as I have a lot more to share. Hope you all have a great weekend.
