Christmas Dinner Table Centerpiece

We are all busy these days with work, children, keeping up with the house, and now Christmas is upon us. I know, where did the time go?

I have some beautiful Christmas dinner table centerpieces, and they are so simple to create, but oh, so lovely!

I LOVE the colors of this white pitcher with red & white foliage.

This is also lovely, and it brings back so many memories from my childhood. Skating – such fun!

if you are inspired and create one of these lovely centerpieces, please share pics. We love to share!!

Don’t fear if you want to create one of these centerpieces and don’t have a set of skates, or a beautiful white pitcher, we have several to choose from at the store!

Have a lovely day!

Happy Holidays

I hope you all had a great Christmas with friends and family. We stayed home with just the 3 of us. Nice and quiet. The boys did go ride their horses for a while, while mom napped. :0

I saw  a lot of customers buy furniture for themselves for Christmas this year? How about you? Did any of you purchase new furniture or appliances?

Check out for insurance on your new appliances. Or check out their YouTube –

We didn’t purchase furniture or appliances for Christmas this year, but I did let a customer talk me into purchasing a cabinet at the store. I had been looking at for a while, but you know the old problem, where am I going to put it? And why do I really need it? Well she mentioned that it would be adorable with antique quilts displayed in it as it has glass doors. She was right, and yes I put it on layaway.

It will be coming home with me after the first of the month. I am excited, and can hardly wait to share a picture of my new cabinet with my antique quilts. AWESOME!

Have a great day!

Easy & Affordable Handmade Gift Giving Ideas

Today we have some great ideas for saving money while giving wonderful gifts to friends and family during this holiday season.

One of the things I give to the grandparents is photos of the kids. Grandparents love to see what the grandkids are doing through out the year. How about a beautiful framed football picture, or dance picture. There are so many possibilities.

One year I was really excited and created a 12 month picture book for the grandparents. I took pictures each month and then uploaded them on-line and created a full years worth of pictures and created a sofa table book. The grandparents also got to see how the kids grow throughout the year.

This picture idea below is such a wonderful idea – and directions are included

Just print off any picture you want, then spray paint a piece of wood black, cut the picture to match the size of the wood. Using Mod podge coat the wood then lay the picture on top. Once it has dried thoroughly, use sandpaper to rough up the edges, then put a layer of mod podge over the picture. paint some eye hooks and use pretty ribbon as a hanger and voila

or how about this one? Who wouldn’t love a set of these coasters?

DIY: Photos Tiles / Coasters

I LOVE this window – This is such a cool and unique idea.
