What’s new this week!

Well things should be getting back to normal, whatever that is. =)   National Western Stock Show is done for another year. We fed the cowboys participating in the rodeo 3 days, and then was able to enjoy watching the rodeo, and bull riding. It was wonderful to see all the cowboys that my boys follow on tv and all the rodeo we attend.

Basketball is almost done for the season. All we have left are tournaments. Not sure what that entails, as this is our first year playing basketball. Hard to believe that it is almost time for baseball.

Today’s Inspiration

The aim of education should be to teach us how to think, rather than what to think.

James Beattie

In learning to know other things, and other minds, we become more intimately acquainted with ourselves, and are to ourselves better worth knowing. Philip Gilbert Hamilton

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions—the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss, a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment in the disguise of a playful raillery, and the countless other infinitessimals of pleasurable thought and genial feeling. Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Inspiration

Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling.

There are some great things we all need to think about when we are surfing our websites, and checking to make sure that they are current and up to date.

Creative juices were flowing!

Did a little shopping today and it really felt good just to walk around and look at all the flea market had to offer today. I also picked up a few really cute things that will be headed to the stores this next week.

How about an alligator rocking horse? It is so adorable – made of oak wood, and is the cutest thing I have seen in a wile.

Time Flies

Boy does time fly around here. It is hard to believe that my passed 17 months ago. Today would have been her 73rd birthday.  It is so sad that she passed at such a young age, but then I did get to have her for many many years. Some haven’t the pleasure of that many years with their loved one. So I am grateful that she was in my life for many years.

My mother did have a full live, lots of kids, and grandkids. She lost my dad four years prior to her passing, and she was missed him deeply. Maybe the good Lord decided it was time to take her so she was no longer lonely.

Well enough looking back, and now it is time to look forward as we start this New Year.

God Bless each and every one of you. Until next time.
